Amakhathide Investments (Pty) Ltd. was established in July 2015 and started operating in March 2017.
The company was established by Thami Kubheka and Dr. Thuthukile Molefe both known in the Engineering & Construction and Occupational Health Sectors. Amakhathide Investments (Pty)Ltd is a 100% black owned company with Level 1 BEE and majority woman owned.
The company’s current focus is supply and distribution of Variable Frequency Drives and electrical equipment including flame and explosion proof equipment for hazardous areas in the mining, Rail, Marine and industrial sectors.
We are approved distributors of SAMINCO and its partners and have branches in Kwazulu Natal and in Mpumalanga

SAMINCO International designs and manufactures solid state electric vehicle traction controllers powered by batteries, diesel–hybrid, fuel cells and power centres. Their controllers are used in fuel cell and hybrid electric buses, automobiles, light rail vehicles and underground mining equipment. With underground coal mining as main customer base, they provide traction drives that operate reliably in the harshest conditions imaginable. Their range includes custom designed electrical panels, electrical buy outs (consumables)
The group has been in existence since Feb 2004. It all started with Sinvac Plastics and R 2.5 million turnover per annum. Sinvac Plastics has been in existence since 1962. Techniloy was converted to a pipe manufacturing company in 2008 and became Sinvac Piping in July 2014. Sinvac Mining & Engineering was started in 2008 and developed into 5 business units operating on maintenance, projects, steel and plastic fabrication. Sinvac SA was split out from Mining & Engineering in 2018
